Angels star has gone to Heaven
ROBBIE WILLIAMS has already sung about Angels – now he’s spending nights in Heaven.
The former TAKE THAT star made a rare public appearance in London yesterday, joining fellow music industry types at a function at Heaven nightclub.
Though there wasn’t much partying or glow stick waving going on - just as well considering the star’s somewhat bloated appearance and conservative dress.
Robbie was there to attend the first Featured Artists Coalition meeting.
The F.A.C. was set up “to campaign for the protection of performers’ and musicians’ rights”.
Right on.

Reclusive Robbie back for Little Britain show
Robbie Williams has returned to the limelight for the first time in two years with a public appearance to film a sketch for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day with friends Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
In 2005 he filmed a little Britain sketch for Comic Relief in which he played an Emily Howard- style transvestite. However this role sees him play an even more outrageous character, a little southern American gal called Candy Marie-Candy.
Speaking about his return into the public eye, Robbie said: "It's the first thing I've done in two years in terms of either coming to a studio and being filmed in front of the cameras and actively being Robbie Williams so it was quite a big deal for me."
Robbie had originally intended not to do any publicity until his eighth studio album is released in the autumn. However he claims that as soon as the Little Britain duo asked him he knew he had to say yes.
"I'd been saying 'no' to everything but then with it being the lads and with it being Comic Relief, I thought, 'Yeah I'll do that -- it'll be good fun,"
The Angels singer said he would not be doing anything else until his next album comes out other than "charity stuff."
But he does admit he wants to do the Loose Woman show, joking: "I want to do it with Coleen [Nolan].
"She'd be number one, then Denise [Welsh] number two," he laughed.

RADIOHEAD AND ROBBIE CALLING FOR MUSICIANS' RIGHTS
Robbie Williams and members of Radiohead, Blur and Pink Floyd are
meeting to launch a group aiming to secure better rights for musicians.
The
Featured Artists' Coalition (FAC) is calling for greater transparency
in recording contracts, as well as more effective legislation to
protect artists' intellectual property.
Blur drummer David
Rowntree - who is part of a steering committee which includes Soul II
Soul's Jazzie B, Billy Bragg, Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien, Kate
Nash, Marillion keyboard player Mark Kelly and Master Shortie - said
members of the FAC must "own our future, take control of our rights and
genuinely work together".
"Acting alone, artists' voices will not be heard," Rowntree explained.
"Acting together, we can be a powerful force. Our rights are our power."
The
FAC meeting in London comes a day after video sharing website YouTube
blocked thousands of premium music videos for UK users following a
dispute with the Performing Rights Society (PRS).
"The
digital revolution has swept away the old music business of the 1960s,
and changed, forever, the relationship between artists and fans,"
Rowntree continued.
"For companies who made their living sitting
between the two, these are increasingly hard times, but for music
makers and music fans, this should be a fantastic opportunity.
"YouTube's
row with the PRS is the most recent example of just how fast the music
industry is changing. There has never been a greater need for the
collective voice of featured artists, whose music generates 95 per cent
of revenue in the industry, to be properly heard."
After taking
to the stage with the recently-reformed Blur at their summer shows in
Hyde Park and at Glastonbury and T in the Park, Rowntree is to continue
his training as a lawyer.

ROBBIE: I FLASH MY WILLI AT WALLI
SUPER-camp straight men David Walliams and Robbie Williams have admitted they flash their tackle at each other.
The Comic Relief jokers will stun fans with their naughty revelation.
The pair, who insist they are straight and both have girlfriends, have
not been able to resist checking out each other’s manhoods.
Robbie, 35, who has joked in the past he is an “absolute bender”,
joined the Little Britain funnyman for a Red Nose Day sketch.
The singer also insisted their willy-waving contest ended in a dead
heat. He said: “I think they’re much of a muchness
"Seriously they are very equal. It was 2-2. A score draw on the c**k front.”
Comic David, 37, who claims he is “70% straight” and “quite camp, but
not gay”, told of his relief that he measured up to Rob.
He said: “I think that’s a good thing. Otherwise I would have thought:
‘Oh look, he’s Robbie Williams AND he’s got that.’”
Superstar Robbie dressed in a pink girl’s nightie to play an American
child possessed by the Devil for their comedy sketch.
It is the first time he has performed in public for two years.
He joked he would only work with Walliams and comedy partner Matt
Lucas, 34, on condition he was in drag.
“It is imperative that I’m dressed as a woman,” said Robbie.
After camping it up, Robbie strangely listed the presenters he would
bed from daytime telly’s Loose Women, including Coleen Nolan, 43, and
Denise Welch, 50.

little britain sketch
Robbie Williams's Little Britain sketch may not be his greatest hit
What might have been going through the singer's mind when he agreed to this stunt with David Walliams and Matt Lucas?
Hi! I'm Robbie Williams. Here's a photo of me with my favourite comedy buddies, David Wulliams and Matt Lucan. We're doing a sketch for Comic Relief in which I play an American toddler called Candy Marie-Candy – the best friend of foul-mouthed tyke Ellie-Grace (left). It's brilliant. Let me talk you through the picture.
First off, you're probably wondering why I look so small. This is because I bent my legs at the knees before slowly lowering myself to the floor. This is a technique known as "method acting".* I did offer to have my legs amputated for the sketch but my close personal friend David Wolliams told me that might send the wrong message to my billions of fans. Those were his actual words: "billions of fans". I love David Welliams. He's almost as brilliant as Gary Barlow. Matt Leuchars took a different approach to the size issue. He's standing on 11 copies of my hit 2006 album Rudebox (£7.96RRP).
You might have noticed that the knuckles of my right hand have turned red. This is because I'm getting into the head space of the character, not because I have an overwhelming, clinging desperation to return to the limelight, even if it involves pretending to be a three-year-old girl for the purposes of charity.**
Finally,
a word about my smile. Some might think my expression betrays a trace
of anger, that my clenched jaw and joyless eyes mark the last stand of
an artist determined to return to fame's golden embrace, by whatever means necessary. But I'm actually thinking about the fact that Howard Donald has agreed to go for a pint with me a week on Tuesday (finally!)
Basically, I'm back. And I'm as irrepressible as ever. And anyone who disagrees can take that and party!***
* Note to self: remind agent to chase up Holby cameo
** Did you get my letter, Gary?
*** Seriously, Gary, if you're reading this, get in touch, mate.

Let me exorcise you
WACKY pop star Robbie Williams stars in a Little Britain Comic Relief sketch — as the Devil girl in The Exorcist.
UFO-mad Robbie hams it up as the youngster taken over by Satan in a spoof of the 1970s classic horror film.
But the Let Me Entertain You singer admitted he was terrified of saying creepy lines in the charity TV show.
Robbie, 35, said he was troubled by the script for the scene with Little Britain’s David Walliams and Matt Lucas.
He said: “In my old age I’m becoming a bit of an atheist having been brought up a good Catholic boy.
“But when I was rehearsing I wouldn’t say those words about the Devil in case they made Beelzebub walk into my soul and take me over. Seriously, there’s something about saying those lines that scared me. He’s a scary guy isn’t he, Satan?”
He also bizarrely said: “I’ve been practising being the Devil for 35 years.”
Angels singer Robbie — who played a Laydee alongside Walliams’s Little Britain transvestite Emily Howard for Comic Relief in 2005 — returned to the UK last month after a spell in LA.
The former Take That star — who claims to have seen three UFOs — has a £7million mansion in Wiltshire, a hotbed for ET sightings.
He had not been in a studio for two years until Walliams, 37, and Lucas, 35, asked him to take part in their sketch.
He plays Candy Marie-Candy, a pal of Little Britain USA’s Ellie Grace (Lucas) and her character’s Mom (Walliams).
He told Heat magazine: “It was a big deal for me... I got a bit nervous.”
But he was keen to wear a nightie.
Robbie, who tells the mag he wants to be in TV’s Loose Women, said: “It’s easy in, easy out. It’s as comfortable as the kaftan I wear normally... I do only wear kaftans around the house.”
Walliams told The Sun: “The best way to tempt Robbie back into the spotlight is by putting him in a dress!”
Their sketch — which also stars Catherine Tate, 40, — is on Comic Relief’s Funny for Money on BBC One this Friday from 7pm.

robbie back for comic relief
It's been a while coming, but Robbie Williams has finally made his big comeback.
However fans of the pop star, who was part of the original Take That lineup, might be surprised by his return to screens.
There is no microphone in site, instead Robbie joins the cast of Little Britain for a one-off Comic Relief edition of the show.
Robbie joins David Walliams and Matt Lucas for two exclusive Little Britain sketches on Friday 13 March on BBC One from 7pm.
In one sketch Ellie Grace (Matt Lucas) has her friend Candy Marie-Candy (Robbie Williams) to stay for a sleepover.
Robbie said: 'It’s hard to say no when asked to take part in a Little Britain sketch for Comic Relief. But I have to admit that dressing up as a small American child in a pretty dress made it all the more appealing.'
While her Mum (David Walliams) is cooking breakfast they begin to play a game of ‘I love you more…’ which ends with Candy Marie-Candy getting very angry.
In another sketch the credit crunch comes to Little Britain and
Carol Beer (David Walliams) is summoned to her boss Dawn’s (Catherine
Tate) office to find out if she is being made redundant.
David Walliams said Robbie was 'absolutely brilliant'.
'He could be a comedian full time if he wanted to,' he said. 'And we have found that the best way to tempt him back into the spotlight is by putting him in a dress!

Robbie Williams to watch footie at Bournemouth?
Robbie Williams to watch footie at Bournemouth?Saturday 7th March 2009
WILL Robbie Williams be singing if they’re winning at Bournemouth’s Dean Court today?
There has been speculation that the pop singer could put in an appearance at the ground when AFC Bournemouth take on Port Vale.
The star, who made his name in boy band Take That before walking out in 1995, has been a lifelong supporter of the Staffordshire club and grew up about half-a-mile from its ground in Burslem, Stoke on Trent.
While living in Los Angeles, he set up a football team and called it LA Vale, in tribute to his favourite club.
In 2006 he invested nearly £250,000 into struggling Port Vale, becoming the majority shareholder.
The 35-year-old recently moved back to the UK and has bought a £7 million mansion in Wiltshire.
Rumours have been rife that Williams could perform with his old band, which has enjoyed huge success since reforming without him in 2005.
Williams and Barlow attended a football match together in London and last month Williams turned up at Brentford’s match against Port Vale.
If he is in Dorset today he could visit another ex-bandmate, Howard Donald, who lives near Ringwood.
Last year Williams was reported to be interested in buying a property locally after visiting showbiz pal Jonathan Ross’s house near Swanage.
